Can the use of creative learning improve the standards achieved by more able pupils in writing?
The project (delivered by the Animate Arts Company) will run from 08 January to May 09. The 19th May has been booked as a celebration day when the school will put on an event to allow everyone to enjoy what has come from the programme. Involving parents and family members to visit the school and possibly a member of Future Creative staff.
There will be an organised excursion for both classes together, which will be actively prepared for with workshops incorporating year 6 pupils as co-instructors. The trip will be an introduction to follow up working and extraneous links. Also to encourage participation in the project by family or community members.
Outcomes and Sustainability
The long-term vision is to tailor the National Curriculum to the needs of our pupils, enabling everyone within the school to reach their full potential and enjoy a creative learning experience. A continuity of education through all the school years. Easing transitions of change, breaking tradition to allow collaborative innovative opportunities. Shared experiences bringing ownership of learning, pride and improved wider skill base. Resulting in higher achievements.
