Inter-house Sports Event
To make learning fun, to have the children excited, engaged and keen to be involved in the activities
Using schools inter-house sports event as focus for creative teaching and learning with the input of the practitioners. All departments within the school will be invited to consider schemes of work and ideas to make it more fun. For example, the English Department can interview the participants before the day to create a “Sports News” and to make a film and radio of the event. The project will be used for all ages within the school and all years and it will cross over the entire curriculum subjects at the school so that everybody is involved.
Outcomes and Sustainability
As the programme will reach all of the pupils within the school, the pupils will all benefit from the activities and the creative input of the teachers and the practitioners. Hopefully the teachers will learn positive methods of teaching and engaging pupils and they will use them when teaching throughout the school.
