2) Developing creative teaching, sharing ideas and good practice
3) Developing and embedding the use of ICT across the whole school
This project explored the idea of sharing in a variety of different contexts – this included the concepts of sharing, what could be shared, who with and how? The school were keen to involve the wider community in the project and get their input into how the programme could work in the school. They engaged parents and members of the general public by distributing ping pong balls via post and around the town. All persons who received a ball were encouraged to log on to the specially created Facebook account to speak to the young people involved about sharing, how it felt to receive something and general ideas for the progression of the project.
Outcomes and Sustainability
The students developed their creative thinking skills and explored the association between the senses and tangible objects. The teachers embraced the project and took away with them creative learning techniques that they are now putting into practice in their classroom.
