Encouraging young people to broaden their horizons and aspirations for the future.
The project started with a trip to the Tate Modern. Once back in school the creative practitioners worked with the young people to encourage them to reflect on the different types of artist expression they had experienced at the Tate Modern and apply some of these creative approaches to a variety of subject areas.
Outcomes and Sustainability
Each child was given a note book in which to log their experiences of the Tate Modern. They were involved fully throughout the project itself and encouraged to participate fully in evaluation and reflection.
The teachers involved fully embraced the creative learning processes and the school have gone on to participate in the Change School Programme.
