Approaches to Creative Learning
My main approach to creative learning is through enquiry and investigation. I try to look at the familiar and make it unfamiliar. I am interested in taking something (does not matter what it is) and deconstructing it in order to begin building it up again. I think this approach helps in being able to introduce a different language whilst being engaged with the process. Quite often I have found that through this process the pupils have become the catalyst for some teachers feeling confident enough to take a risk. One of my main strategies is to set the goals high – and this challenge often causes the unknown to be very exciting and ignites fascination together with a totally new experience.
