Future Creative

There are 613 schools in Kent, which are divided into 23 Local Children’s Services Partnerships (LCSPs), spread fairly evenly across the county. Medway is a unitary authority located in the north of the county, which contains 111 schools.

Primary, secondary and special schools’ communities, departments and individuals may be interested in Future Creative’s Inspire, Explore, Creative Partnerships, and Partnership programmes.

During 2008/09, 45 Enquiry Schools and 35 Change Schools were recruited from across Kent and Medway. In some cases, we are linking strategically with the Kent Building Schools for the Future Programme (BSF) because BSF schools are already on a trajectory of change, developing 21^st Century learning environments.

In 2009/10, the Creative Partnerships programme will expand to engage with 56 Enquiry Schools and an additional 8 Change Schools. This will be supported by strategic relationships between Future Creative and the Advisory Service Kent’s Secondary Transformation Team, and Kent County Council’s Arts Development Unit.
