Future Creative is a dynamic social enterprise organisation that acts as a creative agency throughout Kent and Medway. We develop and deliver a range of innovative creative learning programmes, including the three-strand national Creative Partnerships programme.

Creative learning programmes

Future Creative has developed a range of programmes that seek innovative approaches to enable participants to develop their own creative skills and ideas, seek and find new solutions and introduce creative learning experiences. The programmes fall into the following areas:

Explore
Our Explore programme is aimed at organisations or teams of people from the corporate, public or third sectors. It is designed to enable creative and authentic investigation into a theme or recurring challenge.

Inspire
Inspire programmes are suitable for individuals, teachers, creative professionals, managers and corporate training teams. Inspire is a collection of professional learning programmes, both tailor-made and off-the-shelf, using creative learning approaches in order to train, develop and/or enhance participants' current practice.

Engage

Through creative processes, our Engage programme aims to connect different groups of people (within an organisation, sector or community) with others, and/or with certain concepts. For example, young people getting involved in the Cultural Olympiad; call centre staff contributing and responding to a new corporate strategy; or two disparate sub-communities within a wider geographical location working together to improve and enhance community spirit.

Creative Partnerships
The Creative Partnerships national programme offers schools and learning organisations expertise in collaborative approaches to creative learning, professional development, cultural brokerage, research resources and networking opportunities.

The programme comprises three strands:

Enquiry Schools
The Enquiry Schools programme works with schools over a period of one year, to explore how creative teaching and learning can enhance their practice. Enquiry Schools decide on a specific focus for their programme in relation to the broader needs of the school.

Change Schools
The Change Schools programme builds on Creative Partnerships’ current practice to bring about sustainable change in approaches to teaching and learning. Schools recruited to the programme demonstrate a commitment to putting creativity at the heart of their improvement plans and to educating children and young people for a creative future.

Schools of Creativity
The Schools of Creativity programme builds on the best of Creative Partnerships’ current practice. It enables a select group of outstanding schools to engage in cutting-edge research and innovative outreach with other schools.

Bespoke programmes
As well a range of specifically themed and focused creative learning programmes, Future Creative has the capability to configure creative learning to meet the exact needs of a particular client.

Creative learning consultancy and advice
Working with organisations from any sector, Future Creative can provide input to cultural and arts policy and strategy, particularly within an educational context. Also, Future Creative can advise organisations on the best way of introducing elements of creative learning to existing projects and programmes, eg a management development programme. Consultancy and advice is proposed on a bespoke basis, in direct response to a client’s particular needs.

How do we do it?

  • By acting as a strategic leader in creative, cultural and education sectors
  • As a catalyst and incubator for new ideas and innovative work with and for young people
  • Building capacity and sustainability through professional development programmes
  • Through advocacy, lobbying, brokerage and growing networks
  • By developing partnerships and seeking commissions
